Extensions FAQs

  • Hair extensions are made with human hair, you can use your regular heat tools on them. We suggest no heat above 350° Fahrenheit to protect the structural integrity of the hair.

  • Fading can happen to hair extensions, just as easily as it can to regular hair. Visit our aftercare guide to see how you can precent color fading.

  • Discoloration is caused by something external reacting with the hair extensions. Hair extensions, especially blonde shades , can change color over time due to various factors.

    • To avoid this, take special care to keep your extensions away from products containing UV protection , like sun creams, certain heat sprays and tanning creams. These products, combined with high-mineral water (hard water), can cause a chemical reaction that turns hair pink, peach, or copper.

    • For remedy, try Malibu C Hard Water Sachets or the Hard Water Wellness Kit. Address discoloration promptly for best results. The longer you wait, the tougher it is to restore the original color. These products can also prevent issues if you have hard water or use problem products.

  • High quality hair will last on average 7-12 months with proper styling care and the proper use of professional hair products.
